In the early morning hours of June 16, 2015, the life of 19-year-old David W. Phelps Jr. was tragically cut short in a violent home invasion in Indianapolis. Responding to a report of a person shot at a residence on Cluster Pine Drive, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers discovered evidence of forced entry and found Phelps deceased inside. At the time of the incident, Phelps' mother, brother, and cousin were also in the home.
