Lauren Calvillo, a 16-year-old from Hammond, Indiana, tragically lost her life on June 29, 2015, in a senseless act of violence. Lauren was on the front porch of her home, surrounded by younger cousins and neighborhood children, when she was struck by stray bullets. The incident occurred as gang members targeted rivals attending a nearby vigil.
