James E. Lonaker, aged 62, tragically passed away on February 21, 2016, in Hartsville, Indiana. The incident occurred when his 6-year-old son accidentally shot him with a .38-caliber revolver. According to reports, Lonaker was sitting at his desk when his son picked up the firearm and unintentionally discharged it, striking Lonaker in the upper body. Despite immediate medical attention, Lonaker succumbed to his injuries while being transported to Methodist Hospital.
