On a summer day in Indianapolis, Indiana, the life of 25-year-old Cameron M. Baker, a Black/African American male, was tragically cut short. On July 22, 2016, police were called to an apartment complex on the northeast side of the city where they discovered a grim scene. Inside one of the units, Baker, his partner Takara Coleman, and an upstairs neighbor, Lisa Woods, had all been fatally shot. The discovery sent shockwaves through the community and left their families devastated.
