In the early hours of a summer morning in Cumberland, Indiana, a suburb of Indianapolis, the life of 12-year-old Jeremiah Cotton was tragically cut short. On June 27, 2025, the young male was at an apartment on Dunshire Drive, spending the night with a group of other youths, when he sustained a fatal gunshot wound. Emergency services were called to the scene, and Jeremiah was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition, but he did not survive his injuries.
