Jarius Lewis, a 35-year-old resident of Elkhart, Indiana, was tragically shot on October 19, 2016, outside the Carriage House Apartments on Burr Oak Avenue. The incident stemmed from a domestic dispute inside one of the apartments. According to reports, the altercation escalated, leading to gunfire. Lewis was critically injured and transported to Elkhart General Hospital, where he was treated for life-threatening injuries.
