On a cold November evening in Indianapolis in 2016, a young couple's life together was tragically cut short in a pair of related shootings that left a child without parents and a case that remains unsolved. The female victim, 21-year-old Jessica Downey of Vincennes, was discovered first, found shot inside a car on Adams Street on the city's east side on November 23rd. She was rushed to a nearby hospital but succumbed to her injuries.
