In the winter of 2021, a 32-year-old woman, Ashley Bell, also known as Ashley Davis, was tragically killed in Indianapolis. On the afternoon of January 12th, she was found suffering from a gunshot wound on Boulevard Place, near 38th and Meridian. Emergency services transported her to a local hospital in critical condition, but she succumbed to her injuries shortly after arrival. The incident was one of several fatal shootings that occurred on a violent day in the city.
