Kadejah Jackson, a 21-year-old resident of Hammond, Indiana, tragically lost her life on January 27, 2017. The incident occurred around 1 a.m. in the 900 block of Becker Street, where Jackson was shot five times in the abdomen. She was initially taken to St. Margaret Hospital and later transferred to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where she was pronounced dead at 3:55 a.m. Her death was ruled a homicide.
