Joseph Lamar Johnson, aged 39, was tragically killed on February 5, 2017, in Muncie, Indiana. His death occurred just one day after his birthday. Johnson was returning home around 4:30 a.m. when he was ambushed by three gunmen who opened fire, resulting in multiple gunshot wounds. The severity of his injuries necessitated a two-day autopsy at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. The Delaware County Coroner, Scott Hahn, described the incident as an execution.
