On the evening of May 18, 2025, Davy Scott Gibson, a 46-year-old White/Caucasian male, was shot on the north side of Muncie, Indiana. Police were dispatched to the 4000 block of North Bellaire Avenue in the Morningside neighborhood shortly after 7 p.m. following a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered Gibson suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was quickly transported by ambulance to IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
