In the early morning hours of September 23, 2017, the life of 26-year-old Dijon Jones, a Black male from Mishawaka, Indiana, was tragically cut short in South Bend. Jones, a father to a young daughter and with another child on the way, was shot in the 1500 block of Lebanon Street. Despite his injuries, he made a desperate attempt to save his own life by trying to drive to a nearby hospital.
