Dewone Broomfield, a 29-year-old resident of Evansville, Indiana, tragically lost his life on October 30, 2017, in a double homicide. Broomfield was shot multiple times in his home on East Maryland Street. Despite his critical injuries, he managed to call 911 and identify his assailants as William Rice and Deshay Hackner, also known as "Wire Man". Broomfield was transported to Deaconess Midtown Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at 11:36 p.m. that night.
