In the early winter of 2017, a tragic series of events began to unfold in Merrillville, Indiana, involving 35-year-old Timothy Riley. On December 1, law enforcement officers were dispatched to a residence on West 73rd Avenue after receiving a distress call. Upon arrival, they discovered Riley suffering from a critical gunshot wound to the head.
