On New Year's Day in 2018, 28-year-old D'Angelo White, a male from Evansville, Indiana, was fatally shot in what appeared to be a drug deal that turned into a robbery. The incident unfolded after a 17-year-old female, Charissa Robinson, contacted White with the intention of purchasing marijuana from him. Robinson lured White to the 1400 block of South Bedford Avenue, where the transaction was supposed to take place.
