Markis D. Square, a 30-year-old resident of Gary, Indiana, tragically lost his life on April 18, 2018, during an attempted robbery. The incident occurred in the afternoon at Ocampo Auto Sales, located on West Ridge Road. According to reports, the Lake County Coroner's Office responded to the scene around 2:50 p.m. and pronounced Square dead shortly after. His death was ruled a homicide by the coroner's office.
