Daymarko Tolefree, a 17-year-old high school junior from Indianapolis, Indiana, was tragically shot to death on May 8, 2018. The incident occurred on the city's near east side, where police found Tolefree inside a car with apparent gunshot wounds. Officers patrolling the area around North Rural and East 13th streets heard shots fired around 2 p.m. and soon discovered Tolefree's body in a vehicle at 11th and Tecumseh streets. Medics pronounced him dead at the scene.
