Melissa Runnels, a 20-year-old woman from Indianapolis, Indiana, tragically lost her life on June 15, 2018. Her body was discovered in the backyard of an abandoned home on Warman Avenue, engulfed in flames. Initially, the authorities were unable to determine the gender of the remains due to the extent of the burns. However, the Marion County Coroner's Office later identified the body as Melissa Runnels and confirmed that she had been fatally shot before her body was set on fire.
