Davita Jean Ward, a 39-year-old resident of Gary, Indiana, tragically lost her life on June 17, 2018. Her body was discovered in a burned-out vehicle in the 2400 block of Noble Street in Gary. The Lake County Coroner's Office identified her and determined that she had died from a gunshot wound, ruling her death a homicide. Davita was reported missing on the same day she was killed, and the vehicle in which she was found belonged to her.
