In the summer of 2018, the life of 23-year-old Antonio Adams, a Black male from Gary, Indiana, was tragically cut short. On July 16th, his body was discovered in an alley behind the 700 block of Georgia Street. An investigation by the Lake County coroner's office would later reveal that Adams had been fatally shot twice in the back of the head.
