In the early morning hours of August 21, 2018, the life of 16-year-old Keiandre Holt was cut short by a single gunshot wound to the neck in Lafayette, Indiana. A young boy, only 11 years old and on his way to school, made the grim discovery of Holt's body in front of a vacant apartment on Amelia Avenue. The Tippecanoe County Coroner later confirmed the cause of death. Holt, a Black male, was originally from Chicago and was visiting relatives in Lafayette for the summer.
