Marquis J. Dawson, a 28-year-old resident of East Chicago, Indiana, was tragically shot and killed on September 18, 2018. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, around 12:40 a.m., in the 400 block of Vernon Avenue. The Lake County Coroner's Office confirmed that Dawson suffered multiple gunshot wounds, and his death was officially ruled a homicide.
