On the night of October 22, 2019, tragedy struck in Hammond, Indiana, when 23-year-old Quinten Kendrick-Taylor, a male resident, was fatally shot. The incident occurred in the 1300 block of Liberty Court at approximately 11:10 PM. Hammond police officers responded to a call of shots fired and discovered Kendrick-Taylor lying on the ground a short distance from his home. He had sustained at least one gunshot wound to the chest and was pronounced dead at the scene.
