On a Sunday afternoon in Indianapolis, just before 2 p.m. on December 29, 2019, the life of 26-year-old Alexis Edwards was tragically cut short. She was fatally shot in the 4900 block of Clarkson Drive in what has been described as an ambush as she pulled into her driveway. In the car with her was one of her two young sons, who was also shot but survived his injuries. Edwards was born on December 21, 1993.
