On a quiet Sunday afternoon in Indianapolis, the life of 44-year-old Jeri Mae Mains was tragically cut short in an act of violence that unfolded in front of her own children. On December 28, 2025, police were called to a residence on Meadow Bend Lane around 2:20 p.m. following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found Jeri Mae Mains suffering from gunshot wounds. She was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition but ultimately succumbed to her injuries.
