In the spring of 2020, the life of Terra Deveaux Alexander, a 44-year-old Black/African American woman, was tragically cut short in Indianapolis, Indiana. A vibrant member of her community, known for her work as a social justice leader, actress, and model, she was a devoted mother and a member of the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority. Her sudden and violent death on April 10, 2020, sent shockwaves through those who knew and loved her.
The circumstances surrounding Terra's death unfolded in the
Hidden Oak Estates at Brandywine Court. It was there that she was fatally shot by her boyfriend, Daniel Clark. The tragedy did not end with her death. Later that same day, Clark would go on to take the life of another woman, a former girlfriend named Shereese 'Reece' Curbeam, in a separate incident before ultimately taking his own life.
The investigation into the death of Terra Deveaux Alexander quickly identified Daniel Clark as the sole perpetrator. With Clark deceased, the case was classified as a murder-suicide. Consequently, there were no arrests to be made and no ensuing trial.
