On a tragic Wednesday afternoon in Indianapolis, Indiana, the life of 29-year-old Kayla Danielle Stone was cut short. On June 17, 2020, police responded to a shooting near a CVS on the city's east side, in the area of 21st Street and Post Road. Upon arrival, they found Kayla and a male victim with gunshot wounds.
Emergency services pronounced Kayla dead at the scene. The male victim was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department initiated an investigation into the fatal shooting, which occurred at 8935 East 21st Street.
