On June 18, 2020, in Indianapolis, Indiana, a 37-year-old male named Richard Jones became the victim of a fatal shooting that marked a grim milestone for the city. Around 1:30 in the morning, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were dispatched to the intersection of North Keystone Avenue and East 35th Street following reports of gunfire in the area.
