In the spring of 2023, a violent encounter at an Indianapolis gas station tragically cut short the lives of two brothers. Jimmy Thomas and Jaquareous Mitchell were inside the Shell gas station at 34th Street and Emerson Avenue on the evening of Saturday, April 22, 2023, when they were both gunned down. The brazen shooting left the community shaken and family members searching for answers in the sudden and devastating loss of their loved ones.
