Jacob Reynolds, a 33-year-old resident of Lafayette, Indiana, tragically lost his life on July 2, 2020. The incident occurred when Ian Allen, who was later identified as the perpetrator, drove up beside Reynolds while he was riding his bicycle near the intersection of 27th and Brown streets in Lafayette. Allen shot Reynolds around 6:15 p.m. and subsequently stole two backpacks from him.
