In the late hours of a Sunday evening, tragedy struck on the Borman Expressway in Lake Station, Indiana, forever altering the lives of those who knew Twon Jones. On September 21, 2020, the 28-year-old man was driving his black 2004 Lincoln eastbound on Interstate 80/94 when gunfire erupted, shattering the nighttime quiet. The vehicle, riddled with bullet holes, came to a rest against the center median near the Ripley Street exit.
