In a residence on Draycott Avenue in the Indianapolis suburb of Lawrence, the life of 25-year-old Stephen Banks, a Black/African American male, was tragically cut short on April 7, 2021. Responding officers discovered him inside the home, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite their immediate efforts to render aid, Banks succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Also present was Banks' girlfriend, who sustained a graze wound during the violent encounter.
