Lamar Cade, 49, a Black man, died on April 24, 2021, in East Chicago, Indiana, after a shooting that left him with a fatal gunshot wound. That Saturday night ended in the 1600 block of Broadway Street, where he was wounded and, despite emergency efforts, was pronounced dead at 10:07 p.m.
