Ashanti Hines, a 19-year-old woman from South Bend, Indiana, tragically lost her life on October 13, 2021, in a shooting incident. The South Bend Police Department responded to a ShotSpotter alert just before 10 p.m. on Yukon Street, near the intersection with Portage Avenue.
