Ivan Wade Flowers, a 65-year-old resident of Kennard, Indiana, tragically lost his life on November 30, 2021. The incident occurred late at night when Flowers was awakened by a knock on his door. Upon answering, he was fatally shot by a male suspect who then fled the scene. The suspect was later identified as 34-year-old Benjamin Petry, an acquaintance of Flowers. The motive behind the shooting remains unclear, but investigators have stated that it was not a random act of violence.
