In the fading light of a late December day in Indianapolis, a tragedy unfolded that would cut a man's life short and lead to a cross-state manhunt for his alleged killer. On December 30, 2017, 57-year-old Omar Rosa was discovered on the front porch of a residence in the 1500 block of Goldenrod Drive. He had sustained a fatal gunshot wound.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department quickly launched a homicide investigation into the death of the male victim.
Their efforts to uncover the circumstances surrounding the shooting and to identify who was responsible led them beyond the borders of Indiana. In the days that followed the incident, a suspect was identified in connection with Rosa's death.
The investigation culminated in the arrest of 60-year-old Roger Brewer. U.S. Marshals located and apprehended Brewer in Kentucky.
