On the evening of December 30, 2021, in Indianapolis, Indiana, a burst of gunfire shattered the night, leaving two people dead in its wake. One of the victims was 29-year-old Damion Cornelius, a male resident of the city. The incident, which also claimed the life of Aushette Lorenzo Session-Thompson, unfolded as a grim testament to the gun violence that plagued the community.
