In the early morning hours of April 30, 2022, a sense of unease settled over a neighborhood in Gary, Indiana. Police received a distressing call reporting a woman had been shot inside a home on the 4000 block of Polk Street. When officers arrived around 2:30 a.m., they were met with a tragic scene. Inside the residence, they discovered two women who were unresponsive, both having sustained gunshot wounds.
