In the quiet, rural area of Owen County, Indiana, the life of 39-year-old Gilardo Garcia Salinas was brought to a violent and tragic end. On the evening of Wednesday, November 2, 2022, a distressing 911 call was made from Salinas's home, reporting an active home invasion. Before law enforcement could arrive at the residence, located near U.S. 231 and North Cataract Road, a confrontation unfolded between the homeowner and two intruders.
