In the early hours of November 26, 2022, the life of 53-year-old Robert Andrew Csillag was tragically cut short in Indianapolis, Indiana. A White male, Csillag was discovered with a fatal gunshot wound inside a residence located in the 3300 block of Temple Avenue on the city's southeast side. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department responded to a call around 12:30 a.m.
and found Csillag, who was pronounced dead at the scene by firefighters.
Known affectionately as Bobby to his friends and family, he was a father and grandfather with a passion for the culinary arts, having studied at The Chefs Academy. He was known for preparing elaborate meals for his loved ones. At the time of his death, Csillag was working as a truck driver and was also pursuing a new career path in real estate. His friends and family remember him as a man who enjoyed spending time with his children, camping, and planning adventures.
The investigation into Robert Csillag's death is ongoing, and as of late 2025, no arrests have been publicly announced. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department has not released information regarding any potential suspects or a motive for the shooting.
