In the late evening hours of November 25, 1967, in Petersburg, Virginia, the life of 34-year-old Patrol Officer Eugene Hollins Sr., a Black/African American male, was tragically cut short in a senseless act of violence. Officer Hollins was responding to a report of shots fired near the intersection of Harding and Mistletoe Streets.
