Patrol Officer Eugene Hollins Sr., aged 34, tragically lost his life on November 25, 1967, in Petersburg, Virginia. Officer Hollins was responding to a shots fired call at the intersection of Harding Street and Mistletoe Street around 9:00 PM. While conversing with two complainants at the scene, he was suddenly shot in the chest and thigh.
