In the early morning hours of June 3, 2025, the life of 23-year-old Tyrone J. Matthews was tragically cut short in Petersburg, Virginia. Officers responded to a call in the 2300 block of Navajo Court to find that Matthews had been shot. He was rushed to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries but ultimately succumbed to his wounds later that same day.
