In the early evening of Thursday, January 9, 1975, a tragedy unfolded in Virginia Beach that would leave a lasting mark on the community. At approximately 7:20 pm, a local business owner, Marshall Hamilton, was discovered suffering from a grievous injury. It was soon determined that he had sustained a gunshot wound, an act of violence that would ultimately claim his life.
