Sergeant Ricky Lee Timbrook, a dedicated officer with the Winchester Police Department in Virginia, tragically lost his life on October 29, 1999, at the age of 32. The incident occurred during a foot pursuit in the area of East Piccadilly Street and East Lane. While chasing a suspect, Sergeant Timbrook was shot in the forehead by Edward Nathaniel Bell, who turned and fired a .38 caliber handgun.
