Trooper Kevin Carder Manion, a 27-year-old Virginia State Police officer, tragically lost his life on February 18, 2006, while on duty in Clarke County, Virginia. The incident occurred as Trooper Manion was assisting another trooper with the investigation of a single-vehicle accident on Route 649, approximately four miles north of Route 50.
