In the late afternoon of Tuesday, October 31, 2023, in Fieldale, Virginia, the life of 23-year-old Jadakuis Tysean Mitchell of Martinsville was tragically cut short. Emergency services received a call at 4:45 PM reporting a man had been shot on Tenth Street. Upon arrival, deputies discovered Mitchell with a gunshot wound to his chest. He was rushed to Sovah Health, where he was pronounced dead.
