Dr. Gobichettipalayam Vasudevan 'G.V.' Loganathan, a professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Virginia Tech, tragically lost his life on April 16, 2007, during the Virginia Tech shooting. Born on April 8, 1954, in Tamil Nadu, India, Loganathan had an illustrious academic career, earning degrees from Madras University, IIT Kanpur, and Purdue University.
