Corey Marsielle Lewis Jr., a 16-year-old from Petersburg, Virginia, tragically lost his life on August 6, 2011. Corey was born on August 7, 1994, and his sudden death deeply saddened his family and community. The incident occurred in the early hours of August 6, when police were dispatched to the 100 block of Virginia Avenue in response to a reported shooting.
