Malik Nigel Lewis, an 18-year-old from Newport News, Virginia, was tragically killed on October 9, 2012. The incident occurred in the late afternoon behind apartments on Arbor Court. Lewis, originally from Warwick, New York, had moved to Newport News to live with his aunt. On the day of his death, he and Ronald Coleman Ausby Jr., who did not know each other prior to the incident, crossed paths at a Kangaroo Express gas station and convenience store.
