On a late Thursday night in what was usually a quiet Staunton, Virginia neighborhood, the life of 51-year-old Van Wesley Bell Jr., a male resident, came to a tragic and violent end. On March 14, 2013, Bell was shot and killed in the yard of his home on Fisher Circle. The incident marked the city's first homicide in nearly two and a half years.
